Pedro Martinez told a story about the time Manny Ramirez gave the Red Sox viagra before games and they went on to win the World Series. That's right Manny put Viagra in the team's pregame shots.
So the 2004 Red Sox won with happiness in their pants.

Is Anyone Surprised A Rod Admitted He Used PEDs?
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
Reports have surfaced this week that say Alex Rodriguez admitted to investigators that he used PEDs from 2010-2012. I know it's shocking stuff. Is anyone really that surprised?
I'm not. We all knew he used steroids and other PEDs. Not only did he publicly admit prior use, but he put up his best numbers of his career the first time around, so of course he'd do it again. Guys have been using stuff for years.
Sure there was an unwritten acceptance that has since passed. There is also testing in place now. Major League Baseball is cracking down from all kinds of angles. It certainly isn't the best time to continue using PEDs.
Not to mention the fact that Bud Selig doesn't like A Rod. But who said Rodriguez was a genius?
Obviously he lied to the public, but who really cares?

Manny Ramirez Was in Boston to Throw Out the First Pitch
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
Found out what Manny Ramirez was doing in Boston last night. Turns out the Boston Red Sox were honoring the 2004 World Series Champion team. And Manny threw out the first pitch that was cut off by Johnny Damon, who was exacting a little friendly revenge on Manny.

Check Out Manny's New Hair

Manny as in the newly signed Cubs Triple A player/coach Manny Ramirez. For some reason Manny was in Boston, maybe he got lost on his way to Iowa. While in Boston he made his way to Fenway to show some of his ex teammates his new hairdo?
Either way it was revealed and it's not good.

The Cubs Are Desperate, Sign Manny Ramirez as a Player/Coach to Triple A Iowa
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
Manny Ramirez has been signed as a player/coach for the Chicago Cubs Triple A affiliate in Iowa. The Cubs General Manager Theo Epstein, who was the Red Sox General Manager when Manny was in a Red Sox uniform, released a statement regarding the signing.
"We are excited to welcome Manny to the Cubs organization and look forward to him working with our young hitters," Epstein said. "Manny is not only one of the best hitters of all time, he is also a dedicated student of hitting and has proven to be a gifted teacher with younger teammates who have worked with him in the batting cage. Behind the scenes he has always been a tireless worker who is very serious about the craft of hitting. Manny has made real mistakes in the past but he has owned up to them and moved his life in a positive direction the last couple of years. He is in a really great place right now and wants to share the lessons he's learned along the way. We think he deserves another chance and that our young hitters will benefit from it."
"While Manny is not and will not be a fit on the Cubs major league roster, we do think at this stage of his life he's a nice fit as a mentor for some of the young talented hitters we have in the organization. Manny will coach full-time and play part-time in a limited role that does not take at-bats away from our prospects. If he shows there is still some magic in his bat, perhaps he will find his way to the major leagues and help another team, but that is not why he is here. We are thrilled that he wants to work with our young hitters and make a difference."So why not sign him only as a coach then? If he shows any signs of the old Manny I bet they find a spot on the major league roster.
