Not an arrest for domestic violence in 2014 or her husband receiving a DUI while driving the team's soccer van in 2015 got Hope Solo suspended as long as calling an opponent "cowards."  I guess that's the line that shall not be crossed, that or it's a third strike of some sorts.

Hope Solo was not happy following the US Women's National Team's loss in Rio to Sweden.  Solo decided to throw shade at Sweden following the loss.

Alex Morgan of the women's USA soccer team scored in the first :30 of their match versus Costa Rica to kick off Olympic qualifying. They made that and the rest of the game look easy by going on to beat them 5-0! Not a bad way to start the road to Rio! Check it out:

That's what you get when you play a sport where you can't use your hands.  A giant soccer ball to the dome.  You know the dad loved every second of this video, from the steal to that wonderful kick that gave his kid a concussion.

I bet these kids will think twice before playing sports with dad again.  You have to learn young, dad doesn't lose.

It appears as if soccer's world governing body, FIFA is run by a bunch of corrupt dicks.  And I still don't care about soccer.

Hope Solo sat down with Robin Roberts of ABC News to talk about her domestic violence incident.  Solo declined to provide the details of the night that resulted in her being charged with domestic violence.

What she did say was that she was the victim of domestic violence at the hands of her nephew.  She claims to have received a concussion from him while also noting his size, 6'9" and 280 pounds.

It's the old blame the victim defense and it must have worked because the charges were dropped.

U.S. Soccer has suspended goalie, Hope Solo, fo 30 days following the DUI arrest of her husband, Jerramy Stevens.  The coach of the team released a statement regarding Solo's suspension, Sports Illustrated:

"During our current National Team camp, Hope made a poor decision that has resulted in a negative impact on U.S. Soccer and her teammates," U.S. women's national team head coach Jill Ellis said in a statement. "We feel at this time it is best for her to step away from the team."

So she was suspended for being a passenger in a car driven by a drunk driver, but she wasn't suspended when she was charged with domestic violence?

How did U.S. Soccer manage to screw up domestic violence worse than the NFL?
