Alysha Newman is headed to the Olympics to represent her home country of Canada in the pole vault. She's also a pole vaulter for the Miami Hurricanes, who sure know how to import talent.

Not only is she an Olympian, she's also a WAG. She's dating former Hurricane and current Steeler Anthony Chickillo.

I can't even say "it's time to get back to the drawing boards" because I have had an incredible indoor season. I'm faster, stronger and better then I've ever been in my Pole Vaulting career. I truly believe in "everything happens for a reason". With that said, I know HE, up there, is saving my talent for the true season of Track and Field.. OUTDOORS !! I can't believe how fast these four years have gone by! I've been through it all and I wouldn't change it for the world! I will cherish these moments forever. With that said, thank you to everyone who has given me these amazing opportunities, I love you dearly and I am so thankful !!
