Russell Wilson and the Seahawks finally got a deal done that will keep their Super Bowl winning quarterback in Seattle for at least four more years. The deal is for 4 years and $87.6 million with upwards of $60 million guaranteed.

Russell Wilson Wants $25 Million A Season
Russell Wilson sat down with ESPN in part to discuss his current salary situation with the Seahawks. He didn't come out and say I want $25 million a season, he instead suggested it.
There is no denying his success as a starting quarterback in this league, but how much of the credit goes to him and how much goes to the rest of his team?
I personally wouldn't pay him $25 million a season and think the credit scale is tilted in favor of his team. The Seahawks could probably find a quarterback to plug into their system without dropping a ton of money.
Wilson needs to be smart about this, because he can probably get a pretty good payday. I just won't be $25 million a season.
