Justin Verlander Allegedly Rejects Trade To The Top Team In The American League

A deal to trade pitcher Justin Verlander from the lowly Tigers to the team with the best record in the American League, the Houston Astros had been reached.  And the 34 year old right hander with full no trade power turned it down.

Verlander reportedly wanted to end up with either the Cubs or the Dodgers.  A move to the National League at his age would make a ton of sense.  But so would getting out of Detroit to play for the top team in the AL.

Just kidding.  It turns out the reporter in Detroit is just really bad at his job, Verlander is an Astro.
