The Cubs Gave Steve Bartman A 2016 World Series Ring

According to WGN the Chicago Cubs gave Steve Bartman a personalized 2016 World Series ring.  The Cubs released a statement on gift.

"On behalf of the entire Chicago Cubs organization, we are honored to present a 2016 World Series Championship Ring to Mr. Steve Bartman," the Cubs told WGN in a statement. "We hope this provides closure on an unfortunate chapter of the story that has perpetuated throughout our quest to win a long-awaited World Series. While no gesture can fully lift the public burden he has endured for more than a decade, we felt it was important Steve knows he has been and continues to be fully embraced by this organization. After all he has sacrificed, we are proud to recognize Steve Bartman with this gift today."

Bartman responded to the gift and if you really care about what he had to say go to WGN to read it.

I wonder if they gave rings to the 2003 team who went onto blow a 3-0 8th inning lead in Game 6 and then lost Game 7 of the NLCS.

The Bartman play and the fact that, first the Cubs fans thought Alou was going to catch the ball, and then they gave Bartman shit about it just shows how much they suck.

They deserved every second on the 108 years of misery.  Here's to another 108 years.
