Derrick Rose was a No-Show for the Knicks Loss

Knicks point guard Derrick Rose failed to show up for the Knicks loss on Monday Night.  He apparently had a family emergency and may have gone home to Chicago without letting the Knicks know.

There is some speculation he might have been upset with being benched during the 4th quarter of this weekend's games.

The misery of the Knicks season is in full swing.  Last night was just the latest in a laundry list of failures.  And last night was a laundry list of failures by itself, NY Daily News:

The final tally is eight losses in nine games, the unhappy point guard AWOL, the frustrated superstar ejected and the bratty role player kicked out. Just lovely.

The mystery surrounding Rose's absence will eventually be solved. The Daily News reported late Monday that Rose attended the team's morning practice in Westchester and from all indications was scheduled to show up at the Garden and be the starting point guard.

Maybe Rose just wanted to watch the National Championship game instead of taking another L with the Knicks.
