Tommy Armstrong Jr. Had To Be Carted Off The Field After His Head Bounced Off The Turf

The match up of Number 6 versus Number 9 turned out to be not much of a contest as Ohio State beat Nebraska 62-3.  During the game in Columbus, Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. was knocked out cold after his head bounced off of the turf.

It wasn't vicious hit or anything.  Armstrong was hit low and didn't brace himself for the fall.  His head took almost all of the force of the landing.  Often times there is a slab of concrete under artificial turf and a helmet can't absorb all of the impact.

Tough break for the Nebraska QB, let's hope he makes a full recovery.
