A 7 year old kid caught the elbow of an Indians fan who was celebrating and had to go to the hospital. The kid was briefly knocked out and suffered a concussion from the elbow to the skull, via CBS Chicago:
7-year-old Johnny Wallach was accidently elbowed in the head in the first inning, when an Indians fan got too excited.
Johnny was taken from Progressive Field on a stretcher. The boy and his dad, David Wallach missed almost the entire game while in the E.R. Johnny suffered from a concussion.
There wasn't a whole lot for Indians fans to celebrate during Game 2. So it sounds like a case of wrong place at the wrong time.
Let's hope it wasn't on purpose, because according to the dad there were Indians fans yelling Cubs suck at him as his kid was laying KO'd on the ground, NBC Chicago:
“Fans were heckling him,” Wallach said. “Here I am on the ground with my 7-year-old son and they’re shouting, ‘Cubs suck.’”
Taking your #son to the #WorldSeries #priceless having a #Cleveland #Indians fan knock your kid out. Not cool. Missed the #CubsvsIndians pic.twitter.com/UzmnITGOnc— David Wallach (@DJWallach77) October 26, 2016
