Joe Girardi's Over Management Is To Blame For The Yankees Loss To The Red Sox Last Night

That and Betances taking a huge steamy dump on the mound.

The Yankees had a 5-2 lead in the 9th inning and lost 7-5.  These are big fucking games and Joe Girardi can't be called upon to make decisions.

Tommy Layne got the first batter out.  He's left handed and the batter he got out was right handed.  I know, how is that possible?
The next batter was pinch hit for and the pinch hitter was right handed.  So after a quick look at his binder Girardi removed Layne for the Blake Parker, over management 101.

Parker promptly hit the first batter he faced and was removed.  If you're up by 3 and Layne just got a right hander out, yes left handed pitchers can get right handed batters out, why not leave him in?  So what if the guy gets a hit or hits a bomb off Layne?  You're still on top.

After Parker hit the first batter he faced, Girardi went back to the bullpen for Dellin Betances.  Betances didn't have it.  He was all over the place and gave up a couple hits before dishing up a 3-1 fastball right down the middle to Hanley Ramirez who hit it a mile into the seats in center for the win.

Hmm.  I wonder what would have benefited the Yankees in a situation where one reliever is a little off.  Oh yeah Cashman traded away the rest of the bullpen.  So in addition to Girardi being at fault we'll throw a little blame Cashman's way.

Majority of the blame falls on Girardi's big dumb head.  This was a winnable game that was over managed into a loss.
