It's Going To Be A Long Season In Carolina If They Don't Start Making In Game Adjustments

There is a reason after going 15-1 in the regular season and making a Super Bowl run that nobody offered the Panthers coordinators head coaching gigs.  They don't make in game adjustments.

The game plan is the game plan and no matter what adjustments their opponents make, the Panthers stick to the that game plan.  It's why teams were able to comeback on them after they jumped to bigs leads last season.

It's why they lost the Super Bowl.  And it's the reason they're sitting at 1-2.  Sure a Graham Gano made field goal would make them 2-1.  But Gano is garbage from 50+ so you can't rely on that.

Ultimately it was adjustments by the Broncos and Vikings that did them in.  In both of those games the Panthers controlled the first half of the game and we're shutdown in the second half.

Teams are feeling them out and countering their first half with second half adjustments and it's working.  The same weak pass rush and offensive line play put your team on top in the first half.

So feel your opponent out and make some adjustments.  Mix up the looks and bring pressure from other spots.  Leave a tight end or back in to block on certain plays.  Do something different.

The same look is getting beat.  You can't have a 7 step drop on every play.  Make adjustments or it's going to be a very long season for the Panthers.
