Via USA Today Sports: “We already have two strikes against us already,’’ Baltimore Orioles All-Star center fielder Adam Jones told USA TODAY Sports, “so you might as well not kick yourself out of the game. In football, you can’t kick them out. You need those players. In baseball, they don’t need us.
“Baseball is a white man’s sport.’’
I don't think you'll be kicked out of the MLB for protesting racial injustices. But there would not doubt be Orioles fans burning his jerseys in the streets. And endorsement deals might go away like they have for some NFL players, which is absolutely ridiculous.
From that standpoint it would be smart not to protest. But this is a free country and if you want to use those freedoms you shouldn't feel like you can't.
Oh and just an FYI Adam, assuming you'll be kicked out of a league because it's a "white man's sport" is racist.
