The NBA Is Cool With Communism But Not Bathroom Laws

That's right the NBA announced that they were pulling out (giggity) of Charlotte for the 2017 All Star game.  The reason is that stupid ass bathroom law that North Carolina passed earlier this year.

Via "Since March, when North Carolina enacted HB2 and the issue of legal protections for the LGBT community in Charlotte became prominent, the NBA and the Charlotte Hornets have been working diligently to foster constructive dialogue and try to effect positive change. We have been guided in these discussions by the long-standing core values of our league. These include not only diversity, inclusion, fairness and respect for others but also the willingness to listen and consider opposing points of view."

I'm not going to defend North Carolina's law, because it's fucking stupid.  Not to mention the fact that Charlotte won't be able advantage of the economic uptick an event like the NBA All Star game provides because of it.  Mind blowingly idiotic.

But for the NBA to take a stand on this issue when it has an outreach program in a communist country that violates human rights on a far wider scale is retarded.  So the message here from the NBA is communism is okay.
