Padres pitcher, and king of the mullet, Andrew Cashner hit Cardinals outfielder Matt Holliday in the face with a 95 MPH fastball. Holliday left the game with blood pouring out of his nose.
Cardinals' Matt Holliday suffered a facial abrasion on this pitch. Could've been much worse. He's day-to-day. pic.twitter.com/pDZDtOXVcq— Josh Kurelac (@JoshKRCG13) July 22, 2016
Cardinals manager Mike Matheny updated the media on Holliday after the game said his "beak's a little sore." And that he didn't suffer any structural damage.
That's amazing that Holliday was essentially able to brush of 95 to the nose.
