The Fact That Pablo Sandoval Will Have Shoulder Surgery Is My Only Baseball Joy Right Now

The Yankees are off to a terrible start this season.  Fresh off of a sweep in Boston, it's safe to say I'm miserable.  The only bright spot is news this evening that the Red Sox big name free agent signing from a couple of years ago needs shoulder surgery.

According to the Red Sox, Pablo Sandoval will go under the knife to repair his left shoulder:

Red Sox third baseman Pablo Sandoval is scheduled to undergo surgery on his left shoulder, the club announced Monday. The operation will be performed by Dr. James Andrews in Pensacola, Fla., in the next few days. No timetable for his recovery has been announced.

The sugery is rumored to be season ending for the former star turned high priced bench warmer.  This does give me a little bit of joy.  I'd much rather the Yankees be winning, but until that happens I'll enjoy this.

Yes I realize how said it is.
