The NFL Finally Admits The Link Between Football And CTE Exists

The NFL admitted yesterday that CTE exists and is a result of head trauma.  Head trauma that occurs in its game, via The NY Times:

Representative Jan Schakowsky, Democrat of Illinois, asked during a round-table discussion about concussions whether “there is a link between football and degenerative brain disorders like C.T.E.”

Jeff Miller, the N.F.L.’s senior vice president for health and safety policy, said, “The answer to that is certainly, yes."

The fact that it took this long for the NFL to admit that there is a link between football and CTE is just a stupid as the players who claim they didn't know slamming their heads into things was bad for their brain.

And so what they admit it?  They're not going to shut down a multi-million dollar business.

The best case is the NFL has to share more of that money with player's when they retire.  But the fact that the NFL admitted the link isn't shocking.  How much longer could they deny it?
